About Shawn T. Farris

Shawn T. Farris is a founding partner at Argus Law Group, bringing more than thirty years of private practice experience across a broad range of legal disciplines. His practice includes civil litigation, real property matters, estate planning, and business entity law, with experience in state courts, U.S. federal courts, and international legal matters.

In addition to private practice, Shawn is a respected educator within the legal community. He regularly lectures and instructs attorneys and justice court judges for continuing education programs through the Administrative Office of the Courts. He has also authored and presented educational materials for the National Business Institute and other professional conferences.

An avid traveler, Shawn has served as a guest lecturer at law schools in the United States, China, and the Republic of Moldova, where his instruction has focused on American law for international students and faculty. His public service includes seven years as a judge pro tempore in the Fifth Judicial District Court and multiple terms as president and board member of the local bar association.

Fluent in English, Spanish, and Danish, Shawn is well connected within the legal community and known for his ability to guide clients toward sound strategy and the right resources. His experience, judgment, and professional relationships add depth and perspective to Argus Law Group’s work across complex legal matters.

Geoffrey L. Chesnut is an attorney, strategist, and problem-solver with more than seventeen years of experience representing individuals, families, and businesses in high-stakes legal matters. He founded Argus Law Group to provide clients with something too often missing from modern legal practice: clear thinking, straight answers, and a plan that actually works.

Geoffrey’s practice spans complex civil litigation, bankruptcy and financial restructuring, real estate and land use disputes, family law, criminal law and business conflicts. He has appeared in state and federal courts across multiple jurisdictions (UT, NV and WA) and is known for cutting through noise, identifying leverage early, and advancing cases with precision rather than theatrics.

Alongside his practice, Geoffrey has served in public leadership roles, including as the longest serving Mayor of Enoch City. (2015-2025)That experience shapes how he practices law. He understands how decisions are made, how institutions function under pressure, and how to navigate disputes where law, politics, and human behavior collide.
